Nearby, Freeholders’ Wood Local Nature Reserve, an ancient semi-natural woodland, hosts the Planet Trail in October as part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Fringe Festival and again for the dark Skies Festival in February through to March. Guided tours and equipment will be available on request at the Gallery. The apartment takes its name from the dark skies and beautiful star gazing opportunities the location offers. The Gallery showcases the talents of local artists and makers and inspirational courses take place regularly and will be available on request to guests.
